Why is the quoted lift price different from what you actually pay?

The lift price you are quoted initially can differ from the final amount you pay because many costs become clear only after technical planning and site inspection.

First, initial quotes are usually base prices. They often cover a standard lift model with basic specifications. Once you choose a higher capacity, better drive technology, or premium features, the price naturally increases.

Second, site conditions matter a lot. Factors like shaft size, pit depth, headroom, floor alignment, and electrical readiness can add extra civil or structural work. These requirements are often unknown at the quotation stage.

Third, customisation choices affect the final cost. Glass cabins, designer finishes, automatic doors, smart controls, or noise-reduction features are usually optional and added later, increasing the total price.

Another reason is installation and compliance costs. Local safety norms, permits, wiring upgrades, or additional safety equipment may be required during execution.

Lastly, taxes, transport, and maintenance plans are sometimes excluded from early quotes and added at billing.
